Canora Junior Elementary School is a very busy and exciting school located within Treaty 4 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Metis Nation. We offer Pre Kindergarten to Grade 4 Saskatchewan Ministry of Education curricular programming and service approximately 175 students from Canora and surrounding rural areas.
Our school and our classrooms are welcoming, calming, and are fully equipped to deliver learning in an environment that is supportive of many diverse learning needs throughout the school. We also have a beautiful fully serviced library, gymnasium, kitchen, student support sensory room, an outdoor school garden, and a large playground with many different pieces of play equipment areas for our students to access.
Our aim is to provide our students with a safe and positive environment within which to grow and learn, and we are proud to offer a variety of activities for our students to participate in throughout the school day. These activities combined with our excellent academic data and response to interventions, prove that our passion for and success with student achievement, demonstrate that CJES staff goes above and beyond for ALL of our students.
